Hi All -
I've got a chain winch on the foredeck of the boat, and am trying to determine the exact chain size.
I'm not convinced that the old chain was the correct size, as it would jam occasionally, and not come off the gypsy easily. This _may_ be due to the fact that the chain was worn, but I would like to purchase exactly the right size chain now.
The unit details on the nameplate are as follows:
----------------------------------
AFCO Engineering Marine Equipment
Quote
Type DRWI P
No. 745 C
AFCO Marine Products Ltd
----------------------------------
Anyone able to tell me what size chain this takes? I know that's a bit of an open question.
Removing the gypsy is going to be neigh on impossible (to take to a chain merchant for measuring).
Many thanks
