Aerial windex

I have an aerial atop my mast with a windex fitting. However, there is no extension piece so the windex arrow hits the tricolour light. I have seen boats with an extension piece so the arrow spins above the light.

Can I make one of these easily, or buy just the extension piece somewhere? Buying a complete new aerial just for this short bit seems inordinatly expensive to me

The wind indicator looks to be higher on the Vtronix/ Hawk unit


I doubt if it possible to modify an existing aerial without compromising its performance.

It looks like with those aerials linked that the only option would be to raise the base of the aerial. (or lower the light)
