Has anybody any info on AER alternators from Slovenia. My Nanni has this as it's upper/starter battery alternator. On the casing it says AER 1701 14V Made in Slovenia. Believed to be 110amp output.

thanks

I want to add this just in case it's useful to anyone doing a search in future.
I had a new Nanni diesel last year to replace a previous 5.5 year old one that was uneconomic to repair. The old 5.280HE had a 60 amp Valeo starter alternator, and a 90 amp Prestolite alternator charging the leisure batteries.
The new 5.280HE has a 110 amp single AER alternator. We took the Prestolite off the old engine & put on the new with the AER.
In running the new engine at the nd of last season the volt meter on the dashboard was showing 15.8 volts. We disconected the Prestolite, and in the winter sent to the local alternator specialists for checking. However no fault reported. We replaced & again this year got the same high voltages. Whilst I realised we should check the output voltages at the back of the alternators, this is easier said than done as the backs of both are so close to the block. I had a Sterling alternator to battery charger fitted, and this immediately had the warning light come on showing too high alternator voltage. So the new alternator has gone to be checked, and the engine is now running fine with the two old alternators & the Sterling unit.
In a couple weeks of frustration I found there is a lot of back up for the Prestolite, a 80 page PDF manual plus wiring diagrams etc on their site. It also has a screw on the back which allows you to change the alternator voltage. I was looking for information whether the AER has this, but I cannot find any reference to this make (I'm beginning to think I wrote it down wrong!). The Veleo seems a common make, being used on Nanni & Volvos.

Probally a lot of useless information, but you never know!
