Has anyone here ever been to Smyrnos? It's a small uninhabited Island near Kos with only fairly deep anchoring. What I remember about this Island is that in my version of Heikell's pilot book there was mention of some German buildings there that they built during the war to lock up there own recalcitrant troops. There was some interesting graffiti inside.
Anyway, I went there early in the season in about 2003 and had the bay to myself for one night. The following day a German cruiser turns up and we get chatting (he helped me re lay my anchor). There was no mention of these buildings in the German pilot book and he was surprised when I told him.
These days when I search on the internet for information about these buildings I can find nothing.
