Just because we shuffle between mud banks an dodge wind farms does that make us a lower class?

I ask because despite the evident number of contributors to the East Coast Forum and the four thousand or so threads we post here in our muddy creeks.... Our forum is near the bottom of the list and quite often I find it difficult to spot....

The Thames lot have only managed some 3700 threads, the Jester Challenge is a mighty and worthwhile event but there has been no activity since the 19th... Similarly the Cherbourg forums have had no activity for a few days whilst we are constantly adding to and replying to posts... And still we are left languishing at the bottom of the lists... Why??

Because we like it here - keeps the riff-raff out. :p

Put in another way. When you're at the top there is only one way to go
When you're at the bottom, there are two ways to go. One is to stay there and grow quietly in the background while the hare takes off, the other is to keep on growing quietly away whilst at the same time growing in popularity.
The end result means the one that used the hare approach attracts the eagle of the troll, who doesn't notice the tortoise growing quietly away and out of site

Or, it keeps the riff raff away :p:eek:

I'll have what he's having! :D

Ummm... hello! :D

Actually, I'm happy to go with the term riff-raff. It's double-barreled and, therefore, classy in my book.

There's a racing boat in Burnham called "No riff-raff". There's a boat in our boatyard called "Riff-raff" - the owner called it that having seen the former. It was featured in YM last month!

I'd rather be counted among the riff-raff than the no-riff-raff, myself.
