Advise for Seagull 40

We have an old Seagull 40 (EFPC). Due to never rinsing in freshwater, the cooling water path has got clogged in the cylinder block/head.
Any suggestion about some chemical liquid or any mechanical mean apt to free the way?
Lot of thanks. It's too bad not being able to use an outboard otherway perfectly working (as any Seagull).
