afternoon all.
I am considering using scrubbing piles to give the boat a clean off before a summer trip rather than paying for a lift out. I have no knowledge of the three possibilities on the hamble other than where they are; Warsash, by the Jolly sailor and by Hamble slipway.
is water available at any / all of these?
likewise power. (i dont have a genny)
also i don't have access to charts here at home. any idea of the drying heights?
and finally any hints and tips for doing this drying out thing? I'm happy the boat will take it.
thanks
Dave

I've used warsash and the jolly sailor piles in the past.

would never use the jolly sailor again as it slopes too much when the tides goes out.

warsash has level and solid ground.

TEl. Hamble Habour master
He has all info on drying heights and distance between piles.
Eg Jolly Sailor Dries 2.1 m suitable for yacht from 26 ft upwards

As mentioned above, suggest you get a a quote from Sealift2.com which will probably be somewhere in the region of £130 and all done within an hour. IMHO, that's much better than spending a whole day getting to the pile at highish water, waiting for the tide to go out, the awkward messy hard work of the scrubbing and then waiting for the tide to come back in. That lot makes £130 seem like good value IMHO.
