Advice please; friend looking for Stewardess role on SY, currently based in Antibes

Afternoon all, first post on this very interesting forum so I guess the virtual beers are on me. A friend's daughter is over here in Europe from New Zealand looking for a Stewardess role on a yacht. She is currently living in Antibes but is happy to work anywhere in the world & has powerboat level 2 together with a Superyacht stewardess & hospitality qualification. She has had a few days experience on SY LadyS helping to prepare it for the owners arrival & looked after 30 guests aboard another SY at the Monaco GP. Is there much work about? Any advice will be gratefully passed on. Cheers Ian

Hi there, standard advice is to walk round all the agencies and register - they are in all Antibes. If she hasn't already got it she'll need to get an ENG1 medical and her STCW95 tickets.

Thanks for the replies, she does have those tickets.

I get the feeling that "speaks good Russian" is probably the most important qualification at the moment

can she cook ? I mean to a reasonable standard*

We're looking for a cook for one week, from july 14th.
perhaps also a few day's beginning July,

actually we have been spoiled, spend some time with a Italian cook onboard, early this year,
and now just spend a week in Carloforté Sardegna and enjoyed some delicious food here all week
