Some locations, Teignmouth for example, require third party insurance as a minimum - can anyone advise/suggest a company for third party on a 4 metre inflatable with engine?

Thanks

suggest that you try, online, Compare Boat Insurance, and be carefull to select your Boat Type, this way you get presented with anumber of Insurance Companies Estimates / Quotes all at once, then you can get an idea of how Insurance Companies view you and your boat

good hunting

fully comp is not a lot more and please read the small print as there tend to be lots of things you must do for it to be valid i.e. taking pictures of locks, have receipts for everything etc

oh and some of the cheapest companies are not on the comparison sites

I would really consider just getting a comprehensive policy anyway, TP policies are frequently 'full of holes' and you may as well get the best protection you can for the money. Therefore protecting your investment must be as important as protecting someone elses. You may find it is cheaper than you think - especially if you have PB level 1 and moreson if you have level 2 (Or RYA dayskipper/coastal etc)

A company that have impressed me over and over again in their ability to offer policies at less than the companies can themselves are Velos http://www.velosinsurance.co.uk/

Many people I know have used them and I shall definitely be giving them a call later in the year!
