Having now moved from power back to sail I am in the process of tidying up my Aquastar prior to selling. I recently fitted a new Panda generator and air-conditioning with the intention of taking the boat down to the med which for several reasons didn't happen. I am now faced with a question. Do I leave them on board when I sell or take them off and sell them separately? Both are as new and hardly used. My feeling is I will not get much more for the boat with them on and I would be better off selling separately. What does the forum think?

I think it will make your boat more attractive to a wider audience. I know when looking at my next boat a.k.a. daydreaming a couple hours away, there are a couple things on my list of must have's and a genny is one. Will it increase the value of the boat by it's second hand value I cant say, but I can for a boat that came with a genny and is now bereft of one. That knocked my valuation back quite a bit even though I am completely self sufficient on solar now. ( I never hookup, no need whatsoever, my only drawback is hot water at anchorage and a diesel heated system will overcome that)

I would agree added equipment doesn't really add value but may make it more attractive compared to the competition.
