Hi

Thinking of this as a last resort regards an outstanding bill for £6k. Bill should have been paid as per agreement within 14 days last November. Keep getting fobbed off by the well known owner and his insurance company. The vessel is in France.

Just wondered if this can still be done these days and if so how to go about it?

1) Check with RYA Legal bod.

2) Think a magistrate is involved in 'nailing to the mast' a notice which covers all & any vessels owned, anywhere in the World, preventing any sailing/moving.

There is a download on the subject in the legal advice section of the RYA site - but probably only available to members.

You probably do not want to tell us his/her name but is this well known owner likely to be known to us?
