Hi. Been lurking a while here but not posted in this forum before. Hope you can help, sorry if I'm asking dim questions.

I want to fit a calorifier so need to work out how to connect it to the engine - a Peugeot Indenor dtp62 (same base engine as a VP MD21A apparently, but the marinising kit is different). The only book I have for the engine is in Dutch, and it's not very detailed!
Hopefully this link will take you to some photos:

The first photo shows the front view of the engine - heat exchanger on the left and water pump central. The two larger horizontal pipes link the water pump and the heat exchanger

The lower of these pipes has a threaded plug in it - but this pipe doesn't get very hot so I assume this is where the return from the calorifier should go. The upper pipe does get hot, but there's no tapping in this. Could I cut this pipe and fit a t-piece to provide a feed for the calorifier, or should I look elsewhere?

Another dim question - where's the thermostat? Is it in one of the rubber fittings?

There is a Dutch manual for your engine here: http://www.proaqua.nl/downloads/peugeot.PDF
You may have it already and I'm not sure if it'll be any help though.
There are also some videos on Youtube which you have probably already found - search for 'Indenor Bootsmotor' for example.

I could give you a picture of the connections on my MD21B but I don't think it would help as, as you say, the marinising kit is completely different.
Otherwise, yes it's essentially the same Indenor XDP4.90 base engine although Volvo did some major work such as fitting timing gears in place of the standard timing chain which I suspect yours still has.

Steve - thanks for the response - the manual is the same as the one I have but thanks for flagging it up. I didn't know Volvo changed the timing belt for gears - good for them. I'd better have a look at mine one day soon (though the engine hasn't had a lot of use). I know that the Volvo heat exchanger is very different to mine so I agree that a picture of yours probably won't help.
Thanks for trying.

the thermostat is just to the right of the water pump in the rubber pipe. my dtp62 is older than yours bowman marinisation so I can't help you with your main question.

Hi all!
I know that problem of EP6 with crankcase ventilation.

Repair kit valve cover for Peugeot 308, 3008, 207 (A7) engine EP6
Membrane valve cover for Peugeot 308, 207 (A7) engine EP6
OEM 0248.Q5
new diaphragm valve for crankcase ventilation.
producer sells only cover entirely.
they produce membrane separately!

replacement is very easy, you need to remove the valve cover by prying it with a screwdriver.
remove the old and install the new membrane.
close the cover.
