I have a question to anyone who owns a freeman's boat.
I'm restoring my Freemans 22 mk2; boat. I've just come across the keel and its not in good shape. I can repair it or replace it.
If I'm to replace the keel dose anyone know where I could buy one, new or used? From inspection there are 3 large nuts fitted on bolts. Top, middle and bottom of the keel from the inside. Are they difficult to remove?
Underneath the keel there is a steel flat plate that is rusted, it just fell apart. The bottom of the keel has rotted, but repairable. However, there is a small part of the flat steel, near to the front as it tapers off is solid and I'm struggling to get it off. Can anyone please give me some advice? I appreciate any help for this.
