Considering buying a new dinghy . Previously had a Zodiac C240 .. Option is to get same model or look at alternatives . however there seem to be a lot on the market with varying prices .

So what would you recommend for the hot end of the Med ? Zodiac again or Seago or what ?

criteria

1 similar size and capacity to C240
2 rollup for easy storage
3 light weight
4 accessories
5 good material
6 floor type ?? slats ? inflatable , semi RIB?

I replaced ours a couple of years ago with a Seago 270 airdeck on the recommendation of the shop (Duncan of Glasgow) over the Zodiac and Avon on terms of quality and price. It is well made and lasting well and at the price (~£400 I think) a whole lot cheaper than the other two. Being an inflatable floor and keek, it is light and I can carry it myself and packs very small (relatively speaking).

the only things I've changed are the elastics holding the paddles on were way too thin so replaced them with 5mm shock cord and added two towing eyes on the transom.

With a Honda 2hp and me in it (and I'm not a light weight chappie) it will get up on the plane!! I'm sure they make a smaller version too which might be what you need.
