I bought a yacht. To recoup some of the running expenses, it is available to charter. I realise I cannot advertise here (hence no details), but I would like to reach this audience of sailors who might like to charter, and may know what they are about? Advice on chartering yachts is topic that comes up regularly so I am not alone. Could there not be a separate forum where yachts for charter are listed. This would be little different to the "For Sale" and "Wanted" forums. If there is support for this idea - how do we get YBW to set this up???

Thanks

First thing is to familiarise yourself with the Code of Practice Requirements which specify standards and equipment for , inter alia, yachts offered for charter. There have been a number of discussions here recently about this very matter.

i think it's a good idea to have a charter section. We, the punters, could discuss your good and bad habits but other than marketing yourselves for free, what would you add?
