Any of you guys or gals got any ideas on places to moor / berth on Arran? Preferably on the east coast, either Brodick or Lochranza ish.

I'm looking to go 12th of this month, weather permitting, returning 13th??

In lieu of this I'm open to suggestions for the Clyde area. Anybody else venturing out this way then??

So far as I know, there are no berths on Arran. Easiest mooring is Lamlash where there are about 15 public moorings (payable to the local club there). Brodick has 5 or 6 public moorings but can often be full. Lochranza also has a small number of public moorings but is also quite good for using anchor. Hope this helps.

Hi Clyder,

Am interested in any replies you get, but as far as i am aware, there are no pontoon berthing at Arran at all, which i think is a great pity. But Swing moorings at Brodick and Lamlash are a good bet, with Lamlash being a bit more sheltered.

Also what a coincidence, we are also going to Arran on the 12th Aug, but unfortunately for me, its aboard the big black and white boat(the Calmac Ferry!!!)!!!! We are only going for the day though.

Maybe see you there,

Cheers

Alistair.
