Can this TV be persuaded to plug into my laptop and display a picture.CHEAP TELLY.they cost around 100 quid and would be useful to stick on top of the boat dashboard for navigation.Cos the lappy is to big to stick on top with the display open because it hits the perishing window.Seems to be OK for displaying digital camera pictures.

Unless your laptop has a video out option almost certainly not.
And thats not a particularly cheap mini telly either.

Wot you running on the laptop? Might be able to suggest a 2nd hand mini laptop solution rather like one I have....did you see it? (no.....not the one that traipsed all round Windsor trying to find the chinese......)

Fred

i bought an lcd 15" that workds well on 12v or 240v and has an input from a pc !

Telly it is stand alone just needs an aerial or dvd but can be used as a pc screen !

I love it ! only problem Swmbo likes it too ! it is stainless effect and goes with her new living room ! So I will need to get a bigger one and If I claim that it is for the boat she is trusted to take it off my hands and I can havve the original one back ! Which fits perfrect in the boat !

Blast.Have to be plan B then looks like I will just have to change the boat to be able to open up the lap top then.
Ps.the PC shop was advertising a 15" LCD monitor for 74.95 in national press last week.
