To replace an existing but worn out set up.
My baby brother needs to be able charge 2/3 seperate banks of batteries on a boat using a big diesel generator.
Needs to a 50A plus system by all accounts and has been told that a company called Sterling? produce this sort of stuff.
Any suggestions as to the cheapest source of this type of gear or manufacturers of similar equipment.

I Have a stirling and have found it to be great for my two banks of batteries (240 amp hr each) and a Mase generator start battery and as small and economic as it is, it serves all these well (for three years so far). I have to say that on the only occasion that I needed to telephone them they/he was great and to the point. I cannot reccomend their use to highly.

Balmar and Adverc also highly spoken of. I had a Balmar unit fitted last year (solid state and resin encased) - works very well.
