Tuesday 7th August.
Family sailing trip, we’ll be at Brightlingsea overnight from the Monday. On Tuesday we’d like a quiet day, preferably at anchor, and somewhere we can swim. The forecast is set for hot conditions. HW is 0830, low water at 1500, and HW at 2100.
I’d like to visit Osea island, and have asked for advice about that anchorage before. However, on this day the tides are not at all favourable for this. So, what would be good alternative destinations? Is there anywhere suitable going east from the Colne towards Clacton? Or perhaps we should head up the Colne? Or, We could bite the bullet and head against the tide to Osea, although LW at about 3pm perhaps isn’t great for swimming?
Ideas most welcome!
