Can anyone help identify the switch in these photos please - or give me some hints as to what search terms I could try?
It's the ignition switch in my switch panel. A square button covered by a silicone (I think) membrane. The square part is 25mm square and fits in a square recess in the panel, with a round hole in it, 16mm in diameter. Pushed on to the back of it is a square block with the contacts in it. It's a latching switch used to turn the ignition on. It as 6 poles, only 4 of which are used. I'm guessing that's one pair to turn the ignition light on and one to send power to the momentary pushbutton for the starter motor? The writing on it says "Shlegel" and then:
5A 250V ~
VDE0660
VDE0630
X60V 1.2W
I can find Shlegel online, but need a supplier who will sell me just one. Is it a double or single "throw"? And how many "poles"? I've heard these terms but don't really know what they mean! If anyone could recommend any old switch that would do the same job and "fit in the hole" I'd be grateful!
