ADVENT TV Box

I have one of these Advent monitor / TVs sold by PC World but have lost the 7.5 volt power supply for the TV box. If anyone has one could you please check the POLARITY of the plug on the 7.5 v d.c. adaptor (ie where it goes into the TV Box) and let me know - i.e. is the centre pin positive or negative? This is the only electrical item I've seen ever that gives you the voltage and current but not polarity.

What a bugger you have my sympathy. Why did manufacturers having standardised on a plug size and style have to vary the connection of + or -ve to the centre? It is absurd. There seem to be as many +ve centre as -ve centre on various devices. I am surprised however that it runs on 7.5 volts and not 12v. Sttill if you are running on the boat that will be easy to produce with a regulator. Sorry no help olewill

Whiteoaks, hello am having the same problem with my adaptor for the advent tx box, if u ever got the right adaptor would you please send me the deatils of it so i can buy it online.. thankyou sir..
