Advance tickets needed for Southampton Boat Show?

It is not obvious from the web site, does one have to buy tickets in advance or can you just rock up and buy a ticket at the gate?

I didn’t notice any means of buying at the gate. There's very little there, just the guys who scan your bar code.

You always used to be able to buy on the gate but it was much more expensive.

Yes, did it today. Little Portakabin to the left at the bottom of the steps from West Quay. Flashed the credit card and for £20 (OAP) got a little strip of paper with a QR code.
