As title. The phone's a Motorola Moto G 4G, with 8GB of memory that's filling fast and I have 1.24GB of charts in main memory and 10GB of space on my SD card.

I'm not the most Android-literate person, but I can't see a way of moving the data in Navionics. Can anyone assist, please?

The phone needs to be 'Rooted' to give you 'super user' rites then you need to run an app like Link2SD to move downloaded apps off the internal memory.

I can make Excel do pretty much anything short of making the tea, but I don't know enough to root the phone safely & would in any case be reluctant to risk bricking (I think that's the work) a phone that's still under contract.

Depends ob the device and android version but have you tried "settings, apps, boating, move to SD".

Tried that. On my phone there's a lot of stuff it won't let me move - including my charts It says there's nothing to move. :(

I've got the app and it won't let you move it.

That's the impression I had, but it was worth asking!

Thanks All

Not easily no. Navionics aren't very good at writing iOS apps but they don't have a clue how to write Android apps, despite this being just as easy. They don't seem to care that product they produce is embarrassingly bad in some areas and is second rate compared to the iOS app either, despite it being sold for about the same price. Nothing to do with Android or iOS, just the incompetence of Navionics.

Wait a couple of months and according to their FAQ OpenCPN should be available on Android
