Bowing to world apathy, it sounds as though the RORC have had to cancel this year's Admirals Cup Regatta.

Perhaps the overcrowding and lack of facilities at Cowes, compared to the other international sites had something to do with it.

Or is it that the format is old hat with single-handing and match racing real racers having overtaken the delightful amateur racing of outdated cruising designs?

New rules : no participants

Simple reason: the Brits have changed their racing rules; possible participants would have to adapt their boats for 1 interesting meet. Nothing doing.
