Hi,

Does ANY one know where I can buy or borrow an adjustment tool that will fit a Freiberger / Karl Zeis sextant I have a bit of side error that I want to remove.

Has anyone else lost their tool (keep it clean folks!) and found a way to adjust their sextant without it?

I've just checked mine and it looks as if it is a 2mm square key.

If you have no other offers, PM me.

Neville, I'm in a similar situation as you were. Would you mind sharing where you found your adjustment tool?

Thanks,

David

Hello Tony, if you are still looking I recommend http://Navastro.fr, which sells the tool for €21 VAT included. Its reference number is 2590005 and the page to look at is here: http://navastro.fr/index.html?c103.html.

I would imagine that you could also purchase directly from the manufacturer, at http://www.fpm.de/; but in my experience Philippe at NavAstro provides knowledgeable service and sells new C&P, Freiberger and Tamaya sextants and parts at very good prices (if any one out there knows of another reputable sextant retailer offering better pricing, please advise via this thread so that we may all benefit).
