Adjusting Volvo tachs

Can anyone advise if it is possible to adjust the volvo tachs on the EDC motors? I have the lcd screen hour counter type and one is reading a little high. Will confirm how much with a laser tach but once know how much they are out how can they be adjusted?

It was easy with my old faria units on last boat as they had a pot at the back that could be used to adjust the needle. But not pulled these out yet to look behind

Yes you can, I don't have it to hand but when you buy a new tach there is a sheet of instructions, first you code the tach to the engine type you have then you can fine tune it after if req'd. Its done by pressing a small button in the hole to the side of the multiplug on the back. I am sure the procedure is on the net somewhere, or Youtube. Very easy you just need a 2mm drill bit or similar to prod into the hole.

Thanks but not found that info when searched. If anyoune has the instruction on callibrating the tach that would be appreciated

Ooh, me too please! One of my four over reads by 100 rpm. Lived with it for years, but if it can be tweaked then happy days
