The MD11c on my Westerly Longbow 31 is currently Idling at 750+RPM which is pretty high does anyone know how to adjust this. I believe I have the MSB gearbox but the Manuals are not very helpful

I have investigated the gearbox and whilst there is some wear I want to look at the idle speed because presumably with the morse at the lowest setting it should be idling much lower making it easier to handle in docking situations

Regards

I am finding conflicting info on the idle speed. 650 to 780 rpm according to the tech data section of the owners manual/ Instruction book but 750-810 according to the workshop manual Either way a little above 750 is within spec.

See page 34 at https://www.maritimepropulsion.com/files/pdf/1001252 for the adjustment procedure.

But be sure it is not just the control cable that requires adjustment.
