I am trying to remove the adhesive residue on my GRP boat after I have removed the copper foil antifoul. White spirit softens it but subsequent scraping just moves the softened glue around until it sets again. Anyone tried antifouling remover

Why, pray tell, did you remove the copper foil antifoul?

As for solvents have you tried Acetone? Available from resin suppliers in bulk relatively cheaply (go to the trade counter)

Simply because it didn't work barnacles loved it and you can't clean it. pressure washing just lifted it so whole lot had to come off. No I am literally stuck with the probelm

Odd!, I assume you did activate it before putting the boat in the water. Clean "polished" copper will not work IIRC.

use WD-40!
Works very well to remove adhesive stains & is not agressive to the hull, whatever its made of (GRP or steel that is!). spray on and leave it for 5 minutes, whipe away with clean cloth.
