Hi, I have just re-sealed my hull to deck joint in a couple of places and as the original rubber fender strip is old and scratched up I may just buy some new fendering.
It looks like the old fendering was kept on with contact adhesive but someone suggested I could use some CT1 on the inside of the new fendering before it's fitted.
I have a few samples of fendering, some soft enough to use cold and some that need warm water, even if I use the one that needs warming I can blow the water droplets out with compressed air before applying the CT1.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Nemesis Mighty Frame and Glazing Sealant from Screwfix is the stickiest stuff I have come across. I used it to bed in glass to a boat window alu section and then stick in the frame. Under £6 a tube and does not go off in the tube. CT1 is similar but not as good IMHO and more expensive but both miles better than Sikka products.
I have a strip of 50mm D section to fit around my bows and I am confident that the Nemesis will do this ok.

I used something of similar shape, albeit larger cross section, on the sugar scoop of my boat last year. Messy job but I used CT1 to stick it in place: the shape of the moulding holds it in place until the CT1 has had a chance to cure. I’d thought it would need a series of clamps to hold it in place until cured but the “stickiness” of gloop was more than enough to do the job.
