Hi folks,
My mechanic is trying to get me to buy 1 liter of this stuff which is enough to treat 55,000 liters of fuel which is a lot and would be shared among boats.
The details are here http://www.aderco.com/news/spotlights/aderco-2055g-3in1-fuel-conditioner.html

with the promo vid here,

While they are targeting bigger craft he assures me it would do wonders for my trusty perkins 4236 also.
Anybody heard of it / used it? it seems to do a lot to the fuel for a few small drops!
Thanks

That seems very economical except adding such a small volume might be a practical issue .
Try it and report back in , say, a year

I found an alternative fuel treatment to the usual products found at chandlery supplies and reported it on YBW but did not get much of a response. I have been using the treatment as a preventative measure this year .

I would need about 5ml in each tank which would cost about 50p so it would actually be pretty cheap ..... considerably cheaper than conventional fuel biocide treatment.

I can't see how it could do anything other than act as a biocide/injector cleaner but if it does that effectively then it's good value.

5ml is about a teaspoonful. To be sure it reaches the fuel it would be best to premix it with a gallon of fresh fuel and then add it to the tank.
