Due to not being able to do our normal tear up and down the coast last year my KAD44s began smoking, possibly because of too long on the river.
Do any of these 'magic' anti smoke additives actually work?

Is there an anti smoke additive ? I thought they were billed as cleaners or stabilisers for the fuel system.

The smoke is usually unburnt fuel or oil being breathed out of the crank case, usually due to slow running not clearing the oil from the breather system or overfuelling due to not being fully up to temperature all the time, common problem with all the stop starting in locks as the engine cools down a bit and you smoke a bit on start up.
Not really much you can do about it, additives certainly aren't going to do anything.
Unless its really bad which is something potentially more serious:( its a KAD44 which do need the valves adjusting every 200hrs, that might cause some smoke.
