Mersea Quarter - suspected submerged obstruction
A local yachtsman has reported seeing an obstruction close to the No 3 Mersea Quarters SHB at low water. The nature of the obstruction is unknown but obviously should be avoided. I could see the obstruction from the Coast Road at LW yesterday but at the distance it was impossible to add any further detail.
I have added it on the Temporary List on Notices to Mariners with a chartlet on which I have annotated it's approximate position. I would suggest the 'recommended' route into the Quarter should be used for the time being. A picture is also shown.
