Have just spent a fruitless hour trying to contact a dealer who can put an additional C-Map NT plus local chart on Raymarine plotter card.
Have got thames estuary and want to add a chart that will get me into Dunkerque.Trying to find out cost.
Two nearest outfits seem to have gone tits up.... several further away aint answering the phones one of the biggest no do Sat AM
Suggestions welcome perhaps you have a card with that chart going for sensible price .

I don't think you can add a chart to an existing one. You will either have to replace the chart card you have with a "Wide" chart that covers both areas assuming of course a Wide chart is compatible with your plotter or as you already say, get another "Local" chart card for the new area.

If you do find someone willing to sell you a local card, make sure it is compatible with your plotter as there are different Cmap card formats for different plotters.

Understood..

Have been perusing flebay for quite a while nothing yet.......
My back up laptop navigation programme was only 29 quid and my basic smartphone navigation software to back up my back up was free .
Will just have to cough up 12O quids I guess for Raymarine stuff.

Further to#2 above, as long as your plotter will accept a Wide Cmap card, and there is a single Wide Cmap card that covers both the areas you want, you can either send your card to Cmap or take it to a Cmap dealer and they will reprogramme it for less than the cost of a new one.

Think the one you need is W+41

Try speaking to these people, very help full, they put me right with transfering "marks" to a C-map user card, that been originated on a Seiwa plotter that was not compatible with our Raymarine kit.

Spoke to them today.Appears the chart cards are single use only and cannot have additional charts addded.
So its another local chart card with barfleaux to dunkerque for 11O or trade in existing card and wide area for 15O
How come my laptop software gets me the entire uk for 5O including the gps aerial.........

May be there are no references to the word "MARINE" on your laptop, you could just follow the ferry like Delboy and Rodney?

He might not be able to keep up, so a cross channel swimmer might be a better bet.:nonchalance:
