Hello

My parents have a Viking 27' cruiser which my mum is finding increasingly difficult to board ( she is 80 this year!). I have recently seen on the internet a picture of a cruiser which has been adapted by making a 'doorway' upper side of the hull where you would normally board. It looked as though it had been professionally done. The trouble I cannot find that picture again ( to ? show a boat builder) or have any idea on how they can go about getting this done. If any one has any idea,s or has seen this done to a boat I would appreciate any comments. Thanks

Another alternative to consider would be a "bathing platform" across the transom at typical pontoon height, and a transom doorway. I've seen a picture of a boat for an old man which was specially designed like this, but it also seems like it would be easier to retro-fit than doors in the topsides amidships.
