I've recently spotted a boat for sale with twin AD41 engines with 1200hrs on a 1998 boat. Would you consider buying a boat with the hours and type of engines? How do they compare to the Kad32 for reliability and service costs etc. Would you expect the legs to be ok on this age of boat having been its regularly serviced?

Good engines with a reputation for being pretty robust and reliable. Twenty years old so maintenance history is a consideration but those hours aren’t excessive. Legs may be a different story though - would have them looked at carefully.

I just sold my twin engined AD41 engined boat over 5000 hours loved every minute. Just change the oil often - every 100 hours or 120 if pushed and they will be fine, like all old engines they have bits that give issues but the hours are minimal if they have been looked after.
