One of mine fractured yesterday. Same thing happened on a different line about 3 years ago, same engine. Broken just where the nut holds it onto the injector. VP want £150 for a new one. I recall at the time Studgies (I think) suggested a repair kit but I could never actually find a stockist. Am I stuck with paying £150? Should I replace the other two original lines? All advice appreciated.

Take it to your local commercial vehicle fuel injection place, some of them can make up new ones, get a spare too.

If cracking is a persistant problem make sure they are well secured with clamps to prevent vibration.

Had 2 of my AD31p pipes go exactly the same last year, engine had only done 200hrs and lines untouched from new in 2003. Volvo seem to have used sub standard tube, it has been marked when extruded, then fractures on the marks near the rigidly held injector. I was looking at getting some flexible pipes made up, but haven't got round to it yet.

Mine were only £48 and £50 from a Volvo dealers in Dover and Shepperton, I think £150 must be someone taking the proverbial.

Thanks to all who replied. Chris_d's post made me check what I paid 3 years ago - £45.08 plus VAT so the quote of £150 is crazy indeed - same VP outfit also quoted £80 for refurbed.... How would flexible pipes work? I thought the pressure was too great for that. If such a solution was possible then it would make carrying spares a lot less expensive perhaps.
