Actual NMEA data sent by NASA NMEA masthead Unit

Could someone provide me with a sample of the actual data sent by the NASA NMEA masthead Unit?
I would like to feed the NASA Meteoman with wind data, but it seems I have trouble sending the correct data format. As the Meteoman is designed to accept data from the NMEA masthead Unit I would like so see a sample of that data.

I know the it's the "MWV" and "XDR" sentences, but I'm wondering about the exact string sent by the sensor

It's supposed to be simply the NMEA0183 MWV sentence, so anything outputting that should work.

$IIMWV,160.0,T,2.2,N,A*3C is an example of the string on my bus (Raymarine) but the string should be the same on the Nasa stuff. Can't help you with XDR it's not on my data logs

My Meteoman takes its data from an Echopilot Windmaster, and successfully shows wind speed and direction (relative), and air temperature.

Sample of data is:

IIMWV,125.0,R,009.60,N,A*04
WIXDR,C,012.0,C,,*51

Great guys! Thanks a lot. It may have to do with the first two characters of the sentence.
AFAIK these identify the instrument type, I'll have a closer look next time on the boat.

Mine probably do as well, but NavMonPc may strip the $ before saving.
