OK, peeps, I need a wee bitty help! I want to get a built in 16kbtu, aircon, complete kit, 220/230 volt 50hz. In europe, I am having difficulty fionding a price for them any type, water cooled. can anybody point me in the right direction? Please.

MarineAir do an all in one 16k btu unit. Dealers everywhere. www.dometic.com. HFL also do one but not recommended in med as few HFL dealers there (at least in France....dunno bout spain)

Yes the website structure is a nightmare

Boat airco is at www.marineair.com. They also make Cruiseair which is a seprut website I guess.

Self contained units incl 16k btu are here http://www.marineair.com/contained/index.html and there are downloads for manuals.

The UK dealer is in Poole, a really nice helpful crowd, esp Paul Higginbottom + 44 870 3306101

The cote d'azur dealer is reasonably ok (though I always ask Paul first, to get the right answer....). They are Polymarine near La Napoule, +33 610 90 39 92. Jean Marc speaks some English, but a bit limited

There is a Barca dealer but I have no idea if they are any good

I've just fitted an Italian AC unit from Climma which in the UK is supplied by Fischer Panda. The Italian website is http://www.veco.net/ They have an agent near to Barcelona called acastimar e-mail acastimar@acastimar.com
They do a 17000 unit but it pulls 31Amps on startup which may be too much for shore support. Consider two 9000BTU units (I have just fitted one) which in the soft start option (called HSL) has a 10 Amp fuse only. Upto 9000 BTU's is a different tecnology (not a pump) so is much quieter.

Condaria is another very well known Italian producer.
They have an impressive range of products, capable of fitting also mega-yachts.
I don't think you'll find prices on their site, but surely info on product range and dealers.
They are based near my office; I could call them directly, if you have any question - just send me a pm.
