I hope one of you can help me. I need a complete lift pump for a Sabb 2G 1977 engine. New or secondhand. The pump is an AC make with 5 screws on the head and is the paper gasket type witha two bolt fixing and not the rubber O ring type. I have contacted Sleeman and Hawkins who are the sole distributor and they are asking an incredible £250. I any of you know the equivalent part number to ask at our local dealer I would be grateful. They can not recognise the numbers from the Sabb parts list. I believe they were also fitted to Lister Petter engines. The same lift pump was probably fitted to all the twin cylinder Sabb engines around this time. Many thanks.

Probably to late but pump is an AC Delco / Delphi HFP114 and is still available from delphipartsstore or die sel parts direct @£18-90.

I'm the original poster! Thank you so much for your reply. I will order the part you suggest and keep the cobbled together one I have been using for the last few years as a spare. It's worked perfectly but is the body from one design and the top from another.

If you have reliable 12v, then an electric 'Red Top' type off the bay is £20. Bonus is, if you have to bleed the system, it is much easier.
