I have three AC Delco Wipers motors fitted to my Birchwood 37 part number 7996300 or 60 (last to digits difficult to read). I have done a Google search to try to find what wiper arms to get as one of them is broken, but I can find anything related to AC Delco wiper motors at all.

It says on the manufacturing plate AC Delco Made, in UK.

Does anyone know anything about these motors, my boat is about 26 years old, for the first time Google has let me down.

Glen

I own a TS41, so probably very similar to your fit out. The pantograph arms are available from ASAP-Supplies, but be advised the actual motors, and more specifically the gearboxes are no longer made. Two of my 3 were seized (it turned out full of carp and sand) plus the one that did work did not wipe a large enough area of the screen - they only had a 60 degree wipe angle which needed to be more like 72 degrees. Some fairly simple metalwork and maths has enabled me to remake one of the gearbox arms to increase the swept area, which I've done to all 3 units, (probably 10 hours labour in total) add to this longer actual blades and it makes all the difference. And in the process of rebuilding them I also discovered that they could be wired to self park.

Hopefully yours will just be the arms.

Cheers:)

Is there anything here in Durite book that's similar?

Many thanks for the information, very useful.

I am surprised a company such as AC Delco has no information on their legacy products, I don't regard 25 years ago that old when it comes to motor spares. !

I'm not sure that AC Delco still exists today. The parent company is Delphi, and has struggle financially for several years, in Chapter 11 during the global financial crash.
