Does anybody have any experience (good or bad) of the Absolute 40 HT or the Absolute 41 open. We are in the process of selling our current 32' boat and the search is on for the next one. Primary requirements are for 2 separate cabins, aft cabin with twin berths.
Have done some internet research on ones for sale (mainly in Italy) and had a brief look around one many years ago at Southampton boat show (I think ! - but it was a while ago and I don't recal which model it was).

Anyone had/got one or got any views.

I looked 2 years ago for a 41 or 45. The 45 was an amazing sea-boat, the 41 was just impressive. Being on outdrives economy was great. the three boats I looked at had lifting teak, faded blue gel coat and dodgy passerelles. However I loved them. We chose to buy a house instead, so did not proceed. The reason they are great value is because they are on outdrives. Great deals out there, a HT would be great if you can get one at the right price.
 
We have one, finding it hard to get something else as good,hence now had her for 6 years, a record for us. Only problem we have had is lifting teak on swim platform, which as many here know we corrected by extending the swim by a couple of foot and renewing the teak. Other than that she is faultless, goes round corners on her side but like a train, handles like a big & very good / quick sports boat. Pm me with any questions, I can also point you in the direction of the ex uk dealer who should be able to point you in the direction of a good one.
 
Absolute is a great brand and minus some of the above mentioned, they are great boats.

FYI the 40 SC (with hard top) is the hull of the 39 Open larger bathing platform and hard top.
The 41 is the 41.

The 40 needs to be with D4 300hp or bigger, and you would want a 41 to have D6 310hp or bigger. Do not buy the later with KAD300 as it would be a bit under powered and a pain in a head sea.

I have for sale on my books what I think is the best 41 in the market today. If you want perfection and a turnkey Absolute I am sure there is nothing better then this.
