Absolute boats

Anyone know anything about Absolute and if they are any good?
I'm interested in an Absolute 41 - looks a good spec but...... well an unknown quantity - I know there is no UK agent but as the boat will be used in Spain thats not a major issue it's the quality of the product that I'm more interested in.

They are supposed to be good boats. There was one at the Boat Show in the used area with Essex Boat Yards. No UK dealer has meant they are rare, but great boats!

What can I say, superb boat extremely well put together & great sea handling,EBY took theirs round to LIBS in a force 8 with no problems, spacious & very comfortable. Only problem I had was lifting teak on the swim platform, & was very disappointed with Absolute after sales on this issue. If you are buying used then poor after sales wont be a problem so go for it IMHO.

As an extra, I would like to point out that my issue with Absolute after sales in no way reflects on the then UK dealer who was & remains a pleasure to deal with. My gripe was more to do with the way Absolute failed to honour their commitments to both him & his customers once he ceased to become the UK dealer. A move that in my opinion will come back to bite them on the bum at some point in the future I am thinking
