After about 6 years of perusing and thinking about a boat, retirement at the end of last year has given me the time to justify the purchase.
I'm limited to drystack due to 2-3 year waiting lists for water based mooring, so am looking at cruisers from Parker, Finnmaster and Yamarin. Looking at about 8m. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a Yamarin 59HT, no doubt smaller than you are looking at, but a cracking boat. Great build quality, very well thought out and comfortable and nice to use. a Great hull too, will take rough seas with ease. Finnish boat builders at their best.

You could go up a metre and still be comfortably within price and (probably) dry stack size limits. We keep a 9m boat on a dry stack and it works well for us. Totally agree with AllanG re looking at the Merry Fishers, but Beneteau and Quicksilver do similar offerings also.
