About bleedin\' time

Down here in Keyhaven we have had 4 days when when it has rained every day and the wind has not dropped below 20 knots. It's not raining now, altohugh it's still blowing 25+knots but looks as though it is going lay down for the weekend.

I'm off to polish my fishing rods....

I *know* that I'm tepmting fate here but looking at the ECMWF 10 day forecast it does look a bit as if the lows are starting to track where they belong - Scotland.

Well we're off for a cruise all next week, starting tomorrow evening, but I don't think we'll last the week. That nice big high over the wester approaches might just muscle it's way in.

It may be wishful thinking, but it looks like the jet stream pattern we've had during the last days of torrential rain is breaking up and re-forming slightly further North, so fingers crossed, the frontal systems will be going with it.

Too late for us!

Postponed two-week cruise last week, because of lousy weather forecast (turned out about right) and mid week abandoned hope altogether for next week by booking a ferry ticket to France for a few days R& R, hoping to be back by Thursday for a prpoer sailing holiday.

So the sun 'pings'out! Hope it lasts!!
