Well,
I have been dentophobic for most of my adult life, but yesterday was the first major visit to the tooth engineer for 14 years (with any success). I had to have IV sedation, and he managed to extract two teeth and other stuff which is tantamount to a large opening of the wallet.
I am sat here wondering whether he swapped Tyson for the sweet looking young lady passing the tissues after I went under, or maybe he used my mouth as a woodwork vice. Today my whole lower face feels like a colregs incident, and not a near miss either.
Second, and probably more important is that I was too nervous to go sailing yesterday, and am prevented 'from operating heavy machinery' or driving today, therefore I cannot go sailing today either.
Thirdly, I just blew my entire Kiwiprop fund on the torture bill and have no idea how many more trips to see the dentist bloke before I can start to have a 'normal' dental servicing pattern.
I am therefore looking around the garage, shed and attic to see what can be lobbed onto ebay to get the Kiwiprop fund back into some form of fiscal balance.
I can't even drag up the energy to go to the Kent Boat Jumble today, so it must be bad. Thats one of my favourite ways of spending a non sailing day.
Only positive thing is that I have Lynn to thank for researching, booking and cajoling/wrestling me into actually sorting out the long overdue work required. She is an absolute diamond. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I hope you all have had a better weekend than me........
