a used boat

i am starting searching and researching the purchase of a used yacht...something i may want to go a long way in!...i scan the brokerage and private ads and i see the same yachts advertised for months and months...naturally i am thinking one should be able to buy for somewhat less than the asking price in this situation....is this the case?...anyone want to share their experiences...buyers or sellers...comments welcome
