Have just completed our travels up the Thames past Abingdon and returned back down river.
A big thank you to the hard pressed lock-keepers and the assistants/volunteers who as always were extremely helpful and patient (with hire boats and owner boats, moving in to high season.....). Too often the "lockies" go unthanked, yet are a vital and welcome part of river life, greatly appreciated.
