To all purchasing an Italian superyacht! I ordered an Arimar F36 RIB (Italian manufacture) at Earls Court last year to use as a tender. It looked really cute at the show and when it was delivered in June. Unfortunately it didn't work, and after some hassle, I had my money refunded late September. I warn you as I am told these are often specified as equipment for large yachts. The main problem was an underpowered engine, it takes more than 15hp to get on the plane unless the driver is 8 stones and riding solo! but there were other problems too which made the craft not viable, such a shame as it really was an eyecatcher.

15hp is only just enough to get a light inflaty-hull dinghy on the plane. But not enough for fat gits with Italain superyachts. Or indeed for anyone with a yacht (super or otherwise) and wanting to transport a fat git by dinghy at speed. You'd need, say, a Novamarine 350 jet with 90 horsepower, later models having 105hp, I understand.
 
Thought it was worth a note. I, being a saily type, didn't know much about speed boats and ordered what was recommended by the salesman, how naive? Still all's well now ,I have a different make RIB with 50 nags pushing it. Speedo says 45 knots at times but I'm sure its overreading.

means high speed, rapid acceleration, and runs very straight: exactly as a text book falling from an upstairs window ;-)

I will use the money saved to buy a bottle of fairy liquid for Tripleace and clean it before the locals start moaning again!
