going from Cowes to Portsmouth one a Tradewind 35, the other a Bennie 331. Weather a NE F6/7 (but over 50 knots recorded on the TW) half way on the flood, TW marginally ahead on leaving Cowes .. which one would get to the Swashway transit first? (Sailing all the way of course.)

Parahandy will get their first if not distracted by a bottle of malt whiskey

Nick,
There's no chance of being the bennie, in F6/7 they'd break up in a sea like that, personally, I'd be surprised if he got as far as the Bramble Bank. That's if he didn't hit and sink there.
TW has probably yet to get as far as the Bramble Bank.
Does this race have a website, like teamjimi?

It's obvious. The tradewind is a much superior form of transport. Where is the Swashway? Is near the Whittaker?
