Anchour Ed off Santander yacht club for several days and couldn’t pull the anchour up,tried all manner of maneuvers just as I was about to panic it came up all innocent

As they do! Been there, done that, got the Tee shirt. However, can I explain it - NO!

I heard recetly of a bilge keeler that suddenly could not make more than a couple knots either under sail or power. Everything fine, Prop shaft rotating freely, prop intact, but max speed remained below 2 kts. Finally found on beaching that it had a tractor tyre stuck between the keels! Must have dried out in exactly the right (wrong?) place, and picked it up!,
